WORLD RECORDS
Si-Fu Julian led his students to break the Guinness World Record for longest ever continuous martial art/exercise training in 29 hours 5 min in 2010, raising £13,000 for St Michael's Hospice. This was then broken again in 2012 in 36 hours 13 minutes, raising £15,000 for Help for Heroes. At the Great Wall in China in 2011 he also led the schools to set the World Record for the highest number of continuous full-contact kicks.
PERFORMANCE RECORDS
In 2011, Si-Fu Julian’s schools became the first non-Chinese school to perform on stage in the Shaolin Temple and the first Western Kung Fu school to perform at the World-famous UNESCO site the 'Forbidden City' in Beijing. This was part of a historic tour of China with 21 public performances of Wing Tsun Kung Fu at iconic venues including the Great Wall of China, the Summer Palace, the Olympic Stadium and the Shaolin Temple.
RECORDS AS A TEACHER
As a teacher, Si-Fu Julian continues to achieve records with his students - many of whom have achieved Wing Tsun grades at a younger age than him, and in world record periods of time. In 2015 two of his students were awarded the highest marks in the country for A-Level PE (Physical Education), with Wing Tsun as their designated subject. Their exams were described as ‘inspirational’ and ‘a new benchmark’ by the examiner.
